We are pleased to welcome David DeNotaris as our keynote speaker. For the past two decades, David has educated, informed, and empowered thousands of individuals, including professionals from rehabilitation agencies, educators, community providers, families, and employers, regarding the awesome potential of students and adults with disabilities. David’s mission is to help participants face challenges, identify their strengths, overcome real and perceived obstacles, and achieve independence.

David has served as a job developer, job coach, assistive technology specialist, manager, director, and Executive Director of state rehabilitation agencies in NJ and PA. David also served as President of his national professional association for two years. Through David’s work, insight, and leadership, tens of thousands of individuals with disabilities have accessed and entered real jobs with real pay.

  • Website Accessibility – This workshop will include a screen reader demonstration and practical tips for increasing website useability and accessibility. Presented by Catherine Getchell and Christian Olmeda.
  • Document Accessibility – Learn how to make your documents more accessible as you create them and tips for building accessibility into your everyday workflows. Presented by Tricia Flinn, Lynn Kojtek, and Rebekah Sedwick.
  • Accessibility Features from Apple – Participate in a demo of Apple’s accessibility features in action. Learn to maximize the tools already built into your mobile device or laptop, improving access and efficiency. Presented by Jeffrey Bigham.
  • Accessibility in Pittsburgh Discussion Panel – Hear from our partners in the Pittsburgh region about the accessibility initiatives happening here. Panelists include representatives from Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, HackPGH, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh LAMP/Library of Accessible Media
    for Pennsylvanians, and more.
